Rose sucked gently on the tip of her sugar quill. She didn't often indulge in sweets during class but, since Albus had gotten it for her while they attended the last Quidditch game, she felt a little obligated to enjoy it. It was a very light and sweet taste that stirred around her tongue even after she swallowed. She'd had sugar quills before, but this one was much more fragrant and the soft scent of honeysuckle wafted from it each time she took it to her mouth.

It was Halloween night and Albus was apprehensive. At some point James would come into his room and abduct him for a prank. Halloween was the only time Albus ever saw James being completely stressed and humorless as he always pressured himself to top the prank from the previous year. The fact that he hadn't seen James yet bothered him because the boy would actually sneak out of Hogwarts and go home to take Albus and this year all he had to do was sneak into the dungeons. So there was really no excuse as to why he hadn't been abducted yet.

"Come on, Albus. It isn't that hard." Scorpius said with a roll of his eyes. The pale, flaxen haired, boy sat atop his gently floating broom and watched as Albus was jerked about on his like it were a bucking horse. After a few more bucks Albus was flung off and crashed into second year Slytherin Dominik Faust. Albus' temperamental broom thumped to the ground as Faust's waited patiently for the boys to get up.
"Sorry." Albus apologized at the glare he was getting.
"Es fine." Faust replied in his thick German accent. "Hyu ver tryink." He held out a hand for Albus to take.
